The Head Tilt.

Perth Pet Photographer answers all of your questions regarding her dog’s head tilt.

I get a lot of questions or comments on this, so let’s address Madison’s head tilt:

  • More often than not her head is tilted to the left.

  • Yes it’s cute, but it’s not normal.

  • She wasn’t born with it.

  • It doesn’t put her off balance at all.

  • She doesn’t scratch at her ears or shake her head.

  • There is nothing in her ears, they are clean from infection.

  • Her neck muscles on her left side have become extra tight.

  • She developed it during her first few weeks at home, most likely from just playing too hard.

  • She is seeing a physio and has daily exercises to work on.

  • She has some really tilt-y days and some pretty straight on days, but it could take months to come right.

At the end of the day she is one happy and well loved doggo and she has 100% changed my life for the better.

Welcome to my project52 2024. My creative something for me. A project where I will be taking a minimum of one photo a week on my dslr just for ME. The subject can be anything and everything and is not strictly related to animals, although my pets will definitely be a muse. This is week two.
